2 Rare Antique Nantucket Horse Show Metal Trophy Cup Vintage Jewelry Co Engraved

  

Absolutely exceptional and extremely rare set of 2 Nantucket Horse Show trophies. These came from a dear friend who has had them in her collection at her Monomoy house for over 50+ years.

The victory cups are engraved by a well known trophy maker, John Frick Jewelry Co. New York, who also made the trophies for the Nantucket Yacht Club boat races at the time.

Of course, as with anything of this era, the trophies are aged perfection - with dings, markings, stratches and bends - which all add to the charm and charmisa of these historical beauties. Superbly full of equestrian history, lore and stories told, these two antique works of art stand apart in any display and are of a time of a bygone era.

While embossed similarly, the two are each unique in their ways, including measurements. 5 3/4" tall and 3" wide at it's lip, the other stands approx. 6 1/2" tall and a little under 3" wide at it's lip.
