Vintage Rare M. E. Engle Sterling Silver & Gold Handmade Ranger Horse Belt Buckle

  

ENGLE BRAND STERLING SILVER & GOLD. OLD WESTERN AMERICAN HAND ENGRAVED HORSE RANGER BELT BUCKLE. This pre-owned highly collectible old western American ranger style belt buckle is being offered in genuine. True vintage condition without any cleaning or polishing. It features the naturally aged finish and minor signs of use that would be commensurate with its age (mid century and about 70 years old).

We have been collecting old western buckles for many years, and have hundreds listed for sale right now, but this is the only one we have ever seen that is signed M. Any input on its origin or maker would be appreciated. We are not certain of the type of gold (karat, solid, wash, filled or plate) on the horse head, but it certainly is gold rather than brass or bronze because it has maintained its luster like no other metal would over the many decades since it was made.
