Extremely Rare Royal Doulton Seriesware Shaving Mug - Coaching Days D2176. Scenes/Titles: Coach going up hill, attendants walking. Series Issued: 1905, extended until 1929 and withdrawn 1955. This piece can be dated by the backstamp to post 1932. Height: 4 1/2 inches (11.4 cm), Width: (spout to handle) 6 1/2 inches (16.5 cm) approx.

Excellent Condition Assured - No chips, scratches or restoration. There are two stress hairlines on the reverse side running down from the rim either side of the tree top see pics.

The one to the left of the tree is approx. 1/2 inch and the one on the right approx. They can both be felt and are visible to the outside and inside.

Common fault with these shaving mugs due to the shape. All over fine, clean, age related crazing present also with some minor wear to the green trim around the rim. None of these observations detract from this extremely rare piece. Any white areas in my photographs are purely light reflection. Will be sent very safely packaged, as always.
