Traveller is based on an original horse on wheels from the early 1900s found in the Steiff archives. This equestrian wonder, measuring 18 inches Long from head to tail and 17.5 inches tall at its highest point, brings Steiffs tradition of legendary craftsmanship to new heights. Each line in this magnificent collectible from his arched neck to his oval shaped hooves is a tribute to the elegance and beauty of the horse.

There are so many manufacturing and aesthetic details to admire about this breathtaking piece. Stuffed with excelsior, traveler is made from genuine white mohair and alpaca wool, which is then individually hand-painted to make his surface as lifelike as possible. His mane is made from real hair, and his hooves are leather.

The internal structure of the horse is designed like a metal skeleton, as closely replicating the actual proportions and musculature of a real horse as possible. His leather saddle, head dress, and bridle has been elaborately detailed with felt, brass fittings, and Steiff buttons.
