RARE LG Vintage MADRIGAL STUDIOS Hand-carved Hand-painted Wooden Rocking Horse
Madrigal Studios hand carved, hand painted wooden rocking horse! This lovely art piece has a gold plaque with the words "Hand Carved At Madrigal Studios" and the artist's signature, J. " It measures 24" in height, 23" in length, and 9" in width, and weighs almost 12 pounds!
The paint is soft and muted, and the horse itself is a gorgeous chestnut color. It has a black and red saddle, with a gold and white saddle blanket underneath. The rocking base is black, as are the horse's mane and tail. Because this is a vintage piece, there are slight nicks in the paint, including one on the saddle (see photo #11). However, this is no way detracts from the piece as it is designed to look rustic. I cannot find any information on the Madrigal Studios so I assume they have gone out of business since this piece was created. This item is in the category "Art\Art Sculptures".
