Antique 1800s Vintage Hobby Horse Carved Wood Cast Iron Wheels Stirrup - RARE! We are pleased to offer an antique rocking hobby horse from the 1800s.

With the original eyes, wheels, stirrups and tail fully intact, this is a rare find! The carved wooden horse is about 32 inches long, 11 inches in width, and 27 inches in height. The patina is rich with much of the original red and ochre paint remaining.

Some of the features include cast iron stirrups and wheels, glass eyes, straw tail, and a leather saddle. The condition is outstanding given its age however both the straw tail and leather are brittle and the paint has darkened with age. The leather straps for the stirrups appear to have been repaired, as there is a visible tear where the pieces were reattached. Please see close-up photos as they are part of the description.
